Step 3 Enter all the contest data
This is the third step in organizing the contest. All the information relevant to the contest is entered here.
Figure 1 shows the Contest Data form that is displayed when one presses the Contest Data button on the Switchboard form. The displayed fields can all be filled in and edited. The data is saved when the form is closed. This is the information used to print forms and calculate invoices as well as to generate the schedule.

Contest Date This is the date the contest will take place. (Dates are printed on forms but are not otherwise used by the software)
Deadline Date This is the deadline date for sending in registration forms.
Rnd1 Time The start time for the first round of presentations.
Rnd2 Time The start time for the second round of presentations. Be sure to allow enough time between rounds for all presentations in the largest category to be completed, for the judge to complete the required paper work and for the students to move to their next presentation room.
Rnd3 Time the start time for the third round of presentations
Directors Name the name of the contest director
Street the street address where the contest will be held
City the city where the contest will be held
State the state where the contest will be held
Zip the Zip code where the contest will be held
Payable to the name of the person or organization that check payments should be payable to.
Entry Charge* the fee charged for each entry
Student Charge the fee charged for each student
Cover Judge Charge The fee charged for each entry not covered by a judge.
Hired Judge Fee The fee charged for any judge the host must hire because the entered school is not providing one that is required. Typically the Covered Judge Fee or this fee will be 0.
Number Entries Per Judge The number of entries that require a judge be provided. For example if the number is five then 25 entries would require the school to provide 5 judges. If there are 7 entries then the school could provide 2 judges or one judge and be charged 2 X the Cover Judge Charge.
Entry Fee The fee that is charged for a school to enter the contest.
*If any of these fees are entered as 0 then that fee will not be charged.
