Prep Data

Once a contest is completed you can save a copy of it and then prepare the software for the next contest.  Prepping is easily accomplished by clicking the "Prep for next Contest" button in the functions are of the switchboard.  The software will display the form in figure 1.  clicking the "Prep" button will cause the data for this contest to ne deleted from the table.  This includes entries and judges as well as some data in the schools tables that is contest specific, like the payment data.  The bulk of the schools and coaches data will remain in the table so that it will not have to be re-entered.

The system only schedules schools that have registered entries so you can leave schools in the database who are not registered for the current contest.  This could save a significant amount of data entry in the future.

You complete the database prep by clicking the "Prep" button on the form in figure 1.  Otherwise you can click the cancel button and no action will be taken.
